En revanche, il doit être titulaire d’un passeport valide durant au moins 6 mois après la date de départ. Les transports en commun sont peu disponibles dans certaines régions isolées à cause de l’insuffisance de routes et de pistes. Pendant la haute saison, la réservation de bus est recommandée. Celle-ci doit s’effectuer plus d’une semaine en avance. Malgré la longueur des trajets en bus, les routards auront à leur disposition des véhicules confortables avec un excellent rapport qualité-prix. Outre les autobus, le Chili dispose également de peu de trains ainsi que quelques lignes de bateaux et ferrys.
